I know Valentines is still a few weeks away, but I couldn't resist scouring the cards that are already out and on display.. Mr. Jones and I don't do gifts on Valentines but I do try very hard to find a sweet card to give each year. While browsing I came across one that made me laugh out loud and I had to share...

W.A.G.S
WAGS is a term used to describe Footballer wives and girlfriends hence the W.A.G.S. title.. I like to think of myself as a WAG with the best of them..such as my personal hero Victoria Beckham haha. (slightly kidding here...mostly not )
As some of you may know Mr. Jones is an adorable Englishman and being from England he has played football (or soccer as we Americans know it) his whole life. I couldn't help but snap a few pics tonight of him trying on all of his new gear for his upcoming season... of course all of this is training gear for a local club team, as he does not ACTUALLY play for the Professional Football Club Liverpool (even though I'm sure he likes to pretend) Anyhow he was like a kid on Christmas morning when he walked in the door with these packages tonight...

Maybe its just me...but only this guy could make "mens capri" training shorts look this cute ;)
What about this "action" shot in this tank top????? OMG I die.
A gift from me last xmas to replace his original, but does it get more British than this...Liverpool Tea Cup!!

What's really funny is I just found out last year that Liverpool's "theme song" if you will is "You'll Never Walk Alone" which oddly enough happens to me my FAVORITE song from my favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel". I probably watched this movie 5347587676 times as a young girl and I like to think that Mr. Jones and I were belting out this song when we were both children even though he was all the way across the pond it's one of those weird things that makes you feel connected to someone before you even knew them.
He's pretty cute and I think I'll keep him... capri pants and all.

Ramblings...
Sweet Alisha over at Alisha&Brandon awarded me with the Stylish Blogger award, and what perfect timing that is because I wanted to blog, but haven't taken any recent pics and I would love to tell you about the Bowl game I went to last night but since I know nothing about football and I went because it was across the street and I just wanted to catch up with some friends I sadly don't have too much to chat about this Monday! Phew... that was a long sentence. Anyhow the requirement of the award is that I list 7 things about myself and pass it along to fellow bloggers!1. I have an interview on Wed! It's just for a sub placement organization for private schools but I am really excited, so is my dwindling bank acct.
2. I am really excited about the Bachelor tonight especially since I am participating in Merediths Bachelor pool with fellow friends and bloggers!!
3. I love Barbara Streisand.. that was random, but kind of an important detail if you really want to get to know me.
4. I am proud to say that I watched Aladdain on ABC Family the other night and still knew most of the words to all of the songs. Mr. Jones was not as impressed as I had hoped.
5. I made pancakes and bacon for breakfast, my waistline and my bank acct really need me to get a j.o.b.
6. I am completely OCD about cleaning counter tops.
7. I love Mrs. Meyers cleaning products and am currently obsessed with the Basil Scent.
Well that was a reallllyyy random list and it's obvious that lately I have been obsessing over finding a job and my abundance of free time consists of cleaning and eating. In all seriousness though I'm kind of in a blogging rut, so I apologize for my lack of posting and having nothing too exciting to chat about ;( Moving on, lets award this to a few of my favorite blogs!

Why I Teach...
The sub permit was sent off in the mail today, one more step in the waiting game of getting a job for now. All I can do at this time is continue to apply to full time positions, study for my final test and walk past this adorable-ness that adorns my fridge and smile thinking about, why I teach.

Cheers...
Well 2011 is here and the holidays are over. I spent the entire day cleaning and organizing all of the holiday decor, moving furniture back to its original home and trying to find space in my refrigerator for all of the left over bottles of champagne...guess I'll just have to start everyday off with a mimosa, to help clear the fridge space?? Just Kidding... but seriously one of my friends needs to host a party stat so I can start gifting these things!
We hosted a small group of friends for New Years and I am soo sad to say that I did not capture a single moment of it!! How is this possible?? I guess I was waaay to busy having fun and running around making sure everything went off without a hitch that I just decided I would let my friends document the evening and I would just focus on having a good time and hosting. Oh well thank goodness for facebook and your friends cameras because I do have a few to share thanks to my darling friend Tina!

For this party since I knew it would be a smaller crowd than our usual shin digs I really wanted to play a few games to get the party going and to create some excitement! I have been dying to have a "Minute to Win It" themed party for a while now so... I thought that with the theme of the night being "countdown to the New Year" a "minute" themed party seemed appropriate! If you are not familiar with Minute to Win it it's a game show on NBC that involves crazy minute long challenges, using most household items, so it was super easy to prep and plan for! We decided to keep it extra competitive and make it a guys vs. girls challenge!
Setting up the first challenge!
Lane trying to win one for the girls!
Fiance vs Fiance in the appropriately titled "Hanky Panky" game hahah
Look at them go!
Sore losers in disbelief ;)
Lane trying to win one for the girls!
Overall there were six challenges with the Guys winning 5 and the girls only winning one, thanks Mere! Even though the ladies didn't win I'm pretty sure everyone still had an awesome time playing these ridiculous games and cheering each other on!
Thanks to all of our lovely guests for making the end of 2010 a great one and I couldn't have imagined spending New Years with a better group of people! Here are a few of our lovely guests...

Lane, Rach, and just a few beverages....
And last but not least, Mr. Jones and myself

Since Mark & Mere were here visiting for the weekend we decided to head out Saturday for a late brunch and some delicious Irish Coffee's at Buena Vista! I think I may have found my new favorite foggy day drink! We had a great time laughing about the prior evening and making stupid faces with our cream...
It was a great weekend ringing in the New Year with some of my favorite people! Now off to start the new year right! Job hunting has officially begun! I hope that the new year brings me lots of good fortune with this and I am so lucky to have such a great group of friends as a support team! Hope you all rang in the New Year with those that you love!
