What I'm Loving Wednesday...School Days.

It was a super low key weekend as I was trying my best to relax and rest in an effort to shake this cold. We did nothing but lay by the pool (clearly still not Fall around here) order pizza, and watch movies. I slept in an lived in my bathing suit or pj's. It was delightful but also lacking in any fantastic photos or blog worthy material, so, I apologize for a bit of a blogging delay and am back today for my favorite, What I'm Loving Wednesday.

This week I thought I would highlight a few school related items that I'm pretty excited about.

I took my 1st official class pictures a few weeks ago! I have my teachers badge (yay discounts) and my first staff photo! I am super excited about this, although I must say nothing changes with individual school pictures. Standard I hate mine. I've never been over the moon about my school pictures and at 28 I still feel like I can't take a good one to save my life. Oh well, I guess Mom will still appreciate it. Haha.

Our "Silly" Staff. Standard Kylie and I, the shorties are up front and center, some things about school photos never change.

Wish I could share my class photos but I try to limit images of the kiddos as much as I can. They're pretty adorable though. ;)

In other school related news I am LOVING that my 10 year HS reunion is the Friday after Thanksgiving!

Panther Pride!!

A lot of people from my graduating class are still friends with their HS friends and a lot of us ended up back in SF after college so even though there are a few of us who still see each other here (and there and of course through FB a lot of us have stayed in "contact") it will still be exciting to all get together and really catch up!

A few fun facts about my HS, the movie Dangerous Minds was shot on our campus, even though that school and Burlingame are worlds apart, I guess they liked the look of our school, I am slightly partial and think it's a beautiful campus. Also Diana Agron of Glee fame went to my HS, although she's a couple years younger so I never really "knew" her. ;)

Other than that I've just been enjoying the week so far, a fun day with my firsties on Monday and another lovely walk yesterday rounded out by working on some testing today at school.

Some pretties spotted on my walk.

Also I am totally LOVING my second great coat deal! I couldn't resist this beauty for half off at Old Navy, and for $20 it was worth every penny, it's a heavier trench so it can be worn all winter long and I've had really great luck with Old Navy coats in the past and this one seems to be made really well.

Isn't she pretty!

Happy Hump Day and can't wait to share my spooktacular outfit and Halloween events on Friday with all of you!!

Here's a little spooky sneak peek!

What I'm Loving Wednesday...Trick or Treats!

Happy Wednesday my loves! Happy that the week seems to be flying by! Completely exhausted but enjoying a little me time tonight catching up on Pan Am, doing a little blogging, and taking care of a few things while Mr. Jones is at a business dinner. I wanted to share a few treats from the week so far... not really any tricks unless you count me losing my beloved sunglasses today. Complete shopping FAIL and feel especially bad about it since Roomie gifted them to me LESS than a year ago! UGH. (sorry roomie, must have accidentaly left them in the dressing room at Target, by the time I went back to look they were gone.)

On a happier note let's focus on this weeks treats portion of my "Trick-or-Treat" title...

I am such a lucky Auntie to spend my Tuesdays watching the little man of one of my oldest and dearest friends, who also happens to be a co-worker it really is a treat to share so much with her!

Cutie Patootie

Not only do I get to look at this sweet face but they happen to live right next to the most wonderful walking trail!

Beautiful view!

I've also been treating myself this week to some of these delicious sweet treats.

A classic combo that never disappoints.

And I've been treating myself to a little holiday shopping, getting prepared for Halloween at school with my bewitching costume and a few non candy goodies for my kiddos.

So excited to watch the Charlie Brown movie with them, another classic!

I picked up a few of my Halloween goods at Goodwill and managed to sneak in a little non Halloween shopping as well, scored a gorgeous in perfect condition winter coat! For a whopping $8.99! I really wasn't in the market for a new coat but it was too cute, and priced too perfectly to not belong to me!

Can't wait to actually wear it! With the weather still in the 70's I doubt it will be any time before November! But I'm already excited to wear it in NYC in Dec!

So there it is, a few mid-week treats that I've been enjoying! Now off to fold some laundry and write up my lesson plans... oh joy...if only every moment of every day was filled with walks in the sun, chocolate chip cookies and shopping, back to real life I go...

Lazy Sunday...

Enjoying a lazy Sunday today cuddled up on my favorite chair with coffee and a donut on it's way! I've managed to totally lose my voice, I think a combination of teaching and just being unbelievably busy for the last month and a half, so taking it easy today in my Minnie Mouse sweatpants and laying low. Prior to the sore throat and missing voice though we had a fun and friend filled weekend! Thought I would share a few pics of what we were up to! Hope all of you have enjoyed another wonderful Fall weekend as well!

I kicked off the weekend with a fun Freaky Friday Lang. Arts/ Art lesson! Meet Frank the Frankenstein!

Working on our nouns & adjectives I had the kiddos think/share some fun spooky nouns and adjectives!

Next week we'll work on a character map and creating some silly sentences with our spooky new words!

After a 10 hour work day, I ran home to get ready and head out to dinner with Mr. Jones and friends for a fun double date night, which included a few glasses of my favorite Sauvigon Blanc, made my night! I have been looking for this since I had it in NC! Even though it's a CA wine I've not seen it anywhere!! I would highly recommend running out and getting yourself some of this loveliness!

Sea Glass, even the packaging is pretty!

Benihana!

Our double daters, Tina and Derek

My cute date and myself ;)

We woke up on Saturday and headed out to the coast to the annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival, where we were joined by the Grinde's for a day perusing the festival streets, a delicious lunch and of course a trip to the pumpkin patch!

The Grinde's

Cheesing it up...

Pushing small children out of our way to take the photo...hhahah

Foggy day by the coast, good company, your own fireplace and good food, nothing better.

Isn't our pumpkin cute!

Their little love Bella really stole the show!

Love this little fam!

Another great weekend coming to an end too soon! Looking forward to catching up on my blogs to see what everyone else has been up to! Until next time happy fall y'all!

Lately...

A quick little hodge podge of life lately...hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, ours was equal parts relaxing and fun and even though it wasn't overly jam packed I'm happy to see that Monday is coming to an end. Mr. Jones is so graciously cooking and I have a few minutes to sit and relax with my thoughts so, thought I would share them with you...life lately...

We enjoyed a little weeknight outing, rare for this homebody and attended a fun event at the Joneses hair salon...

Sip & Shop, a great night of shopping, wine, and hair care benefiting a local dance troupe that is inclusive of disabled or differently-abled dancers.

The "Jo-Bro's" and one of the stylists Nasser

Fancy Fascinators!

Pretty earrings that I purchased from a family friend/ amazing jewelry designer...check out her items on etsy

(Please hold your laughter from my at home attempt photo shoot to get a pic of these earrings before I ran out the door on Sat.)

Mr. Jones just being cute.

Lately I have been loving Fall, although the weather here seems to change its mind every day on whether it's Fall or Summer I have already started decorating and getting my kiddos in on some fun Fall Crafting!

Participating in our Friday Museum walk of our artwork!

And a few things here and there around the house that make me smile...

Lately, we've been cooking up a storm and trying a few new recipes, Chicken Picante, Italian Frittata's and some delicious veggies..

Weekend treat...

Mr. Jones and his buddy Josh hamming it up for the camera...

"Italian style Broccolini"

Lately, we've enjoyed weekend nights out to dinner and spending time with friends..

I totally intruded on guys night for a bit on Saturday, Luckily Mr. Jones' BFF's were kind enough to include me in on their little fiesta before the two of us headed out for a birthday party..

And per usual we rounded out our weekend with brunch and some city sight seeing, this weekend we were lucky enough to catch the Blue Angels who were in town for Fleet Week!

Perry's one of our favorite spots!

Giant Navy ship docked just around the corner from us!

Some of the planes in action, my camera just could not do them justice...

Perfect Fall Sunday on the pier...

Well that's what's been happening around here lately! Hope your days have been just as lovely and hopefully your work weeks haven't been quite as tiresome as mine have! I feel like although I adore my job I have been living for the weekends! Looking forward to another full week! What have you been up to lately?

What I'm Loving Wednesday...The Happiest Place on Earth.

It's been far too long since I've participated in Jamie's WILW, so I'm so excited to finally sit down and make the time to jump back on to this fun little link up! I thought this Wednesday I would follow up with my previous promise and highlight my recent trip to "The Happiest Place on Earth"...Disneyland!

Sleeping Beauty's Castle...

I have to admit it really is one of the happiest places for me. I am HUGE Disney freak, as in I still had my Disney memorabilia in my bedroom up until Mr. Jones and I moved in together. Apparently, Sleeping Beauty memorabilia is not on his design radar??? ha. Anyhow like most girls I grew up loving all things princess, I know most of the songs to any Disney movie and still get excited about new ones, I've seen Tangled far too many times than I'd like to admit, and it may or may not be on my Christmas Wish list... But besides all of that, some of my fondest family memories were made on family vacations to Disneyland. Countless family inside jokes and memories were created during our visits there and I will always hold a special place in my heart for this very special and magical place.

So... when I woke up Saturday morning after one of the greatest weddings ever, and Mr. Jones surprised me with the fact that we would be heading to Disney along with some of our closest friends I'm pretty sure I squealed like a 5 yr old and then began singing every Disney song that I know...much to his delight.

So...having said all of that...What I'm Loving Wednesday is dedicated to all things Disney today!

I am loving that it was in the 90's on the 1st day of October and we were able to see the park all dressed up for Halloween!

Welcome to Main St. USA... only my most favorite street.

Extra special surprise our friends who met us there! Mr. Jones did a really good job!

Lovely ladies.

A trip on the train is a must...

Passing time in line... photo shoot was necessary.

Terrified.

Love the band in New Orleans Square

I am LOVING that we were able to watch the World of Color light and water show, absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I was too busy singing and dancing and squealing to take any photos..

Minnie all dressed up for Halloween!

It was a perfect day in the magic kingdom and looking at the photos makes me want to go back tomorrow. Of course there was not enough time to do everything but after a great night celebrating it was the perfect ending to an already fairy tale of a weekend.

Thank you so much Mr. Jones for making me feel like a princess.

Now when can I get one of these?

Happily Ever After,

Miss V.
